Jeremy Allen White breaks the internet, and more fashion news you missed

From Pamela Anderson’s stripped-back Proenza Schouler shoot to a new Balenciaga drama series

For the first installment of its Spring 2024 campaign, the underwear label linked up with The Bear and Shameless’ Jeremy Allen White for a sexy underwear shoot in New York.

In the images and short film shot by photographer Mert Alas, White can be seen roaming the city streets and climbing up to a rooftop where he strips down to a pair of Calvin Klein underwear to stretch, stare down the camera, and lounge on a sofa.

“No need for any distractions… Jeremy Allen White is stripped back in Calvin Klein,” the brand captioned the post, playing into social media’s recent obsession with the actor since The Bear’s 2022 release and ahead of February’s The Iron Claw.

Ever since Raf Simons’s 2018 departure from Calvin Klein, the label has reached towards more humorous and horny iterations of its signature 90s underwear campaigns – all built to go viral on social media. For instance, see Pete Davidson’s 2021 Instagram takeover, where the comedian hopped on Instagram live with Machine Gun Kelly to talk about “big dick energy”, rather than posing for the brand’s usual photoshoots.

Of course, this time around, everyone in the comments is ready to lock themselves in their kitchens with the actor, sharing a slew of “yes chef” and “girl dinner!” comments on the posts. “THIS VIDEO IS THREE HOURS LONG,” one user wrote under the 45-second film. If the video is still on loop, this is a safe space (kind of) and we’re sending our thoughts and prayers x

Elsewhere this week, Gucci found itself on the receiving end of a wave of homophobic hate on Instagram after dropping its new hot-blooded gifting campaign – evoking Tom Ford’s sexy 90s shoots for the brand, the UK government launched a new tax scheme targeting Depop girlies and other online sellers deemed the “side hustle tax”, and Dazed Fashion paid homage to Boombox – London’s seminal early 00s clubnight. Click through the gallery below for the best of the rest.
